Enchanted April

St Andrews Play Club's adaptation of a 1920s novel sees four women whimsically rent a castle in Italy. Sluggish scene changes are redeemed by a beautiful set & lively portrayals, but this amdram comedy relies on outdated tropes, begging the question: why now? 3/5
